Joseph Farah’s Upcoming Book: The Gospel in Every Book of the Old Testament

During the writing and research of Joseph Farah’s most recent 2017 title, The Restitution of All Things: Israel, Christians, and the End of the Age, he began focusing on what Jesus called “the gospel of the kingdom.” He observed that most definitions of the gospel revolve around personal salvation, rather than worldwide redemption, on which the prophets of both the Old Testament and the New focused. He began wondering if this “gospel of the kingdom,” which points to a future garden of Eden–style restoration of the world, could be the secret of finding the gospel in every book of the Old Testament.

“It was the spiritual mystery of the gospel of the kingdom that allowed me to find the gospel all over the Hebrew Scriptures,” Farah says.
For the last five years, Joseph Farah and his wife, Elizabeth, have been leading tour groups to Israel to show them ancient prophecies being revealed before their eyes. The Bible promises a time of restoration in Israel and all over the world. But it’s very specific about Israel.

“I love to show people around Israel—starting with the ruins,” he says. “Every time we view the archaeological ruins, we see evidence of God’s judgment. Then, when we see the people returning to the land and the deserts blooming, we see the evidence of the restoration. Israel is like a laboratory of Bible prophecy confirmed. And when we see it confirmed in the judgment and the early evidence of restoration, we can then project ahead with near certainty that there is a greater restoration coming in the future.”
That’s the gospel of the kingdom, he says.

City of David Reveals Biblical History & Prophesy in Modern Times

Who would have thought that in modern times, we would get to watch this happen before our eyes through the excavation of the City of David?

The City of David, which experts now believe to be the ancient Jerusalem, was discovered only 150 years ago. Before that, the predominant thought was that the Old City was the site of ancient Jerusalem, where David set up the capital city of the tribes of Israel more than 3,000 years ago.

Today, the dust is flying, and the longer archaeologists work, the more we can see puzzle pieces of Scripture fall into place in the stones of this city.

City of David Revealed

For centuries, the City of David remained veiled as tourists visited the Old City of Jerusalem, believing they were seeing David’s capital city. But 150 years ago, a British archaeologist named Charles Warren discovered a tunnel system now known as Warren’s Shaft, which David used to capture the city. Warren knew he had stumbled on the true City of David.

As archaeologists uncovered his find, many pieces of Scripture and prophesy fell into place

Now, you can visit the Pool of Siloam, fed by the Gihon Spring, the city’s water source. The pool is where Jesus healed the blind man and Jewish people gathered for the Feasts of the Lord. Researchers believe that the pilgrim travelers going up to the Jewish Temple would wash in the Pool of Siloam before taking the Pilgrim Road up to Temple Mount.

You can stand in the places Abraham met Melchizedek, where Isaiah gave his prophecies, and where kings David and Solomon served the Lord.

2019 Christian Cruise with Craig A. Evans

There is something powerful about seeing Scripture in its original form – catching a glimpse of the handwriting of John or the script of Mark.
